Each Lir-Solar solar thermal installation is as unique as the demands of each of our clients.

This is why the ability to control all aspects of specification, design, supply and install are so important.  Our unique “Thermal Pod” combined with our plug & play installations make for a quick accurate and simple installation ensuring minimal disruption to your business.

We have a number of installation solutions to suit the aesthetics of your existing structure and we also have a number of coloured collectors for architects looking to seamlessly blend solar thermal collectors into a new design.

Project 1 - campsite Facility

Campsite Project
40m2 of solar collector installed in 2007 supplies 31,000Kwh of energy per year.
This is the equivalent of approximately 60% of the required hot water on a fixed cost for the next 20 years

Project 2 - Office Block Renovation [Stockholm]

Office Block Project
100m2 of Orbit Solar collectors provide 45,000Kwh of energy to contribute to the energy demands of the hot water and space heating/cooling system of an office block renovation project in Stockholm.
The building, originally constructed in 1977, is being completely renovated. It comprises eight floors of office premises, restaurants on the ground floor and basement levels containing car park space and technology facilities. The building’s area totals approximately 15.500 m2. With its clear environmental profile, the construction project is to become the first property in Sweden to be certified in accordance with the environmental system LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). In addition, the building will be certified to the Green Building standard, the Swedish “Environmentally Certified Building” system. As a result, Vasakronan will be able to offer the market a thoroughly environmentally smart building in a very central location in the heart of Stockholm.

Project 3 - Swimming Pool & Facilities

Swimming Pool Project
  • 250m2 of Orbit collectors were installed on the roof of a council owned swimming pool.
  • These collectors produce 116,000 Kwh of energy to heat the swimming pool and provide heat for the changing facilities.

Project 4 - bank [portugal]

Campsite Project
  • 1,600m2 of solar collector installed on the roof top of a bank in Lisbon, Portugal.
  • This system provides energy for the heating and cooling systems through out the 17 floors and 100,000m2 office space.
  • The installation of the solar array has saved 1,700 tons of CO2 emissions since its installation in 2007.
